"What are you doing here?"
Shinji cringed a bit, "We're playing a game."
The wizard spoke up. "I'm running a superhero roleplaying game for theese kids, to give them an idea on how the game is played. I own the store and am just promoting that this a friendly shop."
Misato shook her head. "You should have told me, Shinji. The commander is a bit concerned that you might be unreachable during an Angel attack."
"I'm sorry," Shinji said.
Ritsuo and Kaji came in and saw the group.
Ritsuko said, "I see you found them."
The wizard put his hands behind his head. "Is there anyone else out there?"
"Well, there is Maya and her co-workers. They are the ones who spotted the kids entering here. Why?"
The wizard smiled. "I was just thinking of having all of you play in the game with the kids. A longer game can be run, since adults are here and can drive the kids home."
Kaji and Ritsuko looked at each other and shrugged.
"Give me a second," Misato said, as she pulled out her cel-phone.
She left the building to get better reception and to wave the other three NERV personell over.
"Commander Ikari, I found them. They were getting ready to play a game. Just a lack of foresight on their part. Listen...."
Misato quickly explained what was going on and the offer.
"I see. Thank you, Commander."
Misato entered the store once more with the NERV bridge bunnies.
"Commander Ikari has no problem with the game, now that there is a way to reach the pilots. Now that that is settled. Do we write up characters now?"
"I have some stock characters made up, just in case the kids didn't make a character. You could choose from one of them. They have no names or gender written on them yet. Other than that, they are complete."
The wizard pulled out a 3-ring binder and handed it to Misato. She quickly flipped through the character sheets and stopped as one caught her eye. She snapped the binder open and removed the sheet and handed the binder to Kaji.
Asuka looked up at Misato. "You're going to be playing?"
"Why not?" Misato replied. "It has been stressful of late and we all could use a break."
Misato looked down at the character sheet and said, "I guess I could call her Windblaze."
"Ah, you chose the speedster character," the wizard said.
Misato nodded.
