The SRU Wizard seemed out of place in jeans and a T-shirt, but that was what he was wearing for this game. After all, his robe just wasn't in theme for the evening... and with all the snacks brought (none from his own store: he didn't want his usual gags involved in this) the robes would just get dirty.
Still, he was pleasantly surprised that everyone was ready with characters. He'd prepared some stock characters... just in case, mind you... but that turned out to be unnecessary.
Shinji's character was simply called "Shove." He was an unassuming character able control kinetic energy. Asuka might have been taunting him about making a punching bag character, but if the boy used his head right, his character had incredible potential.
Asuka's character, on the other hand, was pretty much self-explanatory. Super strength, super speed, super endurance, flight, energy blasts, neigh-impenetrable skin... the basic super hero. Although she might find her vulnerability to wood annoying in the future. Same with her character's need for light energy to maintain her powers. Still, "Ultra-Lady" might be powerful, but hardly creative.
Then again, neither was Toji's. "Mace" was all strength... a typical brick character. The character was super strong and tough, and able to boost that even more by transforming into a being of living metal.
Hikari had chosen a different tact, her character was the ESPer of the group. Telepathy, telekinesis, as well as a psychic blast and a healing power. It was obvious she intended for "Silver Dove" to stay mostly out of the fighting.
The same could not be held true for Kensuke, but his was at least proof that he had a sharp mind. He'd wanted to play a character with power armor... and so gave his "War Mech" super intellect, intuitive engineering, and the ability to psychically link up with computers... and then had his character build power armor.
Rei, of course, was something of a disappointment. Her character was made from completely random rolls... or they would have been, if not for the spell on the dice. Rather, the end result was rather eerily like herself. (Or it would have been to anyone else. Rei didn't notice it herself.) Even the random name of "Soul Gamma" was influenced by reality. Still, the Wizard was quite interested in what she would do with the powers to generate Force Fields and to create duplicates of herself...
The physical description of the characters even greatly resembled their players. (Although "Silver Dove's" exaggerated figure led the Wizard to conclude that something had left the girl feeling inadequate...)
This would all work well for his plans. After this, he'd hit a few other places all over the world, and make some more super humans - both heroes and villains. That would give the gene pool plenty of new material to work with...
"Well, then, if everyone's ready, let's begin..." the old man said at last.
"One question," Kensuke interrupted. "'Meta-Knights?'"
The wizard shrugged. "It's super heroes, kid. Silly names are part of it."
