Jesus, it's another Bet!: A "Minor" Obstacle [Episode 41646]

Suddenly, she heard the voice of Alucard. "Celes. We have a problem."

Celes stopped. She asked, "What kind of problem? Are there FREAKs in the vicinity?"

She heard Alucard sigh. "No. The problem is much more dangerous."

"A true vampire?"

"No. It's Politics. The Japanese Equivalent of Hellsing wishes to observe the child, and allow him to grow up normally. Because of this, we cannot intervene."

Celes growled. "What? Am I supposed to just let this kid's crazy father raise him? And throw him into a pit of starving cats!"

"Well, you're too late for stopping the pit of starving cats, anyway..."

Celes sighed. "Damnit. My first solo mission. A total failure."

Alucard's voice seemed to take on a happier, and sneakier, tone. He seemed almost to be smiling. "Not exactly. You might not be able to intervene openly, but you ARE able to work behind the scenes. As a sort of benefactor. A guardian."

Celes nodded. "I understand. I'll make sure his father doesn't do anything too bad to him."

Toltiir blinked. "Do I want to know why you had the delay?"

Jesus nodded. "Simple. While Genma isn't the best father, he DOES do an okay job. Ranma might be an idiot with a foot shaped mouth, but he's still got a good heart. Kinda reminds me of Peter..."

Bast said, "Let me guess. Seles is there to get rid of the worst of Genma's stuff."

Jesus smiled. "Yep, and to protect from other things. For instance, the Foot Cinderella incident never happens, among other things."

Toltiir looked. "He manages to get Nabiki to stop with the pictures somewhat."

Bast took a peek at the pool. "And he exhibits traces of power during a few battles with Ryoga. Not to mention losing a few of the one-shot fiances, who Celes managed to scare off."

Jesus waved his hand a bit, and the pool changed, showing a specific time in Ranma's life. "But HERE is where things REALLY change..."

• Nabiki gets Ranma in BIG trouble, and Celes has a little "talk" with her.
• Cologne manages to detect Celes, and decides to go hunting.
• A FREAK decides to attack. What will Ranma and Friends do?
• During the battle with Saffron, Ranma falls, and lays still. Then, he disappears. And a shadow with a thousand eyes appears behind Saffron
• Actually, it's just a normal day in Ranma's life. Except for the Priest who approaches, with a deadly mission...
• Something Else.
