It had been some hectic years, since he and Biki passed through the portal and returned to an earlier time of them self.
Biki and his mother had hit it of from day one and mother had the leverage needed to make thing happen. One look at the honour blade and the panda had stopped any plans for training outside Japan.
Of cause it had cost him some of his edge in training. He had tried to make it up, but somehow the soft life away from the road had made him weaker in the body, even through he was higher now due to much better food in very large quantities. Ukyos food didn’t help his waistline, either. .
At least he still got Ryoga to fight with regularly. Ryogas adoption into the Saotome family and engagement to Ukyo had solved a lot of mess. They even seemed too genuine like each other, even through Ryoga still got lost a lot and still fainted every time he saw a piece of flesh. It had been very funny, when Ukyo had tried to serve him that “birthdays suit special”. Good, that Biki still kept up on her use of a hidden camera.
Even funnier was the matter of Akane and Tatewaki. Who would have believed that? But it actually made a lot of sense – in retrospect.
Biki and mother had managed to get to the Kuno matriarch in time. Instead of a suicide, her husband had gone into much needed therapy. Souns status at the city magistrate had helped a lot there.
That move had ensured financial backing for Bikis plans. Of cause all the parents stilled believed that the information was due to something they had got knowledge of from some others “grow-ups”. The crash had come as expected and the Kuno-Tendo-Saotome alliance had hit the stock market where it hurt, in the wallets of the rich.
Biki had used the money to buy up a lot of shares, in clouding some foreign ones in an American owned computer company.
Meanwhile mother and the Kunos had looked into the matter the traditional way, which meant clan alliance through marriage. He was engaged to Biki and the matter of Ukyo was still unknown to mother, so it had been naturally for the two mothers to bind the families through either Kasumi or Akane, and since Akane was a better match in ages for Tatewaki, they had been informed about their engagement.
He and Biki hadn’t stopped laughing for a week, but Akane had reacted positive about it. If big sister was going to get a fiancé; she also wanted one, even if boys was icky, and should be punished. As for Tatewaki, he had gained a lady to serve as a samurai. That and his mothers presence had made wonder for the boy, even through he still carried that bokken everywhere.
The person most affected, although, had been Kodachi. No poison, and best, no insane laughter, although she kept up the female tradition of the Kunos of Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics, although for the Furinkan High School time now.
And Dachi was now one of Bikis best friends, and had gotten Biki into Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics too. That was the reason he had to wait, wait and wait for them changing. He had newer been that slowly at changing when he had been a girl.
But then Martial Arts Rhytmic Gymnastics got Biki into wearing a leotard, and that was a sight worth seeing, so something good was coming of that.
Of cause, it could be that Biki and Dachi was discussing plans about a certain boy. After their clan had become one of the riches in Japan, many things had changed, including the access to information about what really went on behind the public scene
Some of it had been rather disturbing, even through he should have expected much. Magic and magic princes he had know about before.
But the fact that Japan and most of Asian had their roots in a failed alien colonizing attempt, that Earth still was a colony planet in the view of the aliens, and that the heir of that particular interstellar empire, lived in Japan, was something quite different.
They had been showed a photo of the heir, and Dachi had been quite impressed, even through the boy looked a bit of a week type. Of cause some girls preferred boys that way, but there had been a good reason why Dachi had been in love with him then. He was still a man among men.
Actually it had been a lot easier to understand the approach from the palace. All 3 families had samurai blood and the imperial family had some serious trouble in getting a spouse for the crown prince.
With the elevation of their families, and the fact that the Tendos still had one daughter, who was beautiful, intelligent and somewhat old-fashioned trained, enquiries were made. Of cause it was a great honour, their mothers had been running around with flags and screaming bensai that day, and their fathers had gotten roaring drunk without getting into troubles.
A marriage between Kasumi and the crown prince would make their families untouchable by all forms of authorities in Japan, since nobody would run the risk of disturbing the wa of the Emperor. But would Kasumi accept that prospect, or would she rather choose another path. She was thankfully a lot more aware and presence in real time these days. One of the many benefits of the overload of curses he had suffered, most of with he had now gotten rid of or newer received.. Of cause he still got the foot in the mouth curse, but according to his supreme commander, his queen, his meaning of existence, e.g. his fiancé for short, that particular curse was something all men was born with, and could only be cured by close company with a female, and in his case the female was Biki.
Ranma didn’t have anything against that. His life was much much better now. No fights to death or running scare of cats. Now a day he actually liked being with cats. Cats had always reminded him of Biki, so it had been fairly easy for the physiatrist to create a positive image of cats. Of cause they could afford the best physiatrists now.
But he could not deny it; sometime there was this feeling, this promise of adventure, the pull of Jusenkyo, of a red haired girl waiting.
Nabiki: “You seemed far away – stud” Ranma looked up, and smiled sheepish at her: “Sorry, I must have fallen in sleep, Biki-chan” he was slacking or Biki was getting better. He hadn’t felt her coming.
“Stop calling me that – baka” said Nabik smiling. She gave him her schoolbag and training equipment.
Ramna: “So I have to carry you bags?”
Nabiki: “Of cause, what do you think I keep a fiancé for?”
Ranma took the bags and they started to go down the road, exchanging the pleasantries of a pair, who had proved their love, where gods and goddess trembled.
