It spoke well that the boy would insist on being treated as a true man would. But he did not know how to take it. This might just be a way of getting them onto their vessel so that they might be able to kill them there. Yet, there would be no honor in running from a fate like that.
"What do you think?" he asked his first officer.
"It may be a trick, but for some reason, I think that this human is different from the rest," answered the other Klingon.
"He does us a great honor."
"That is true. To kill or be killed on the basis of one's own skill is the way to great honor."
Leaning back, the Klingon captain gave a barking laugh. "The humans have something that I think fits here."
"They do?"
"Yes, and I do believe that we will be walking into 'the valley of the shadow of death.'"
"It has been an honor to serve with you sir."
"Likewise my friend. Open a hailing frequency. Tell the human that we agree to his terms."
The first officer nodded and moved to do so while:
