Emperor Ranma of Mongo: Negotiations and Fireworks [Episode 41945]

by Valor Phoenix

After a moment of pause, Ranma reluctantly spoke up. "Eh, unfortunately, I'm kinda in the middle of my first act as Emperor. We've got some kinda bio-weapon running loose on that ice moon, and we're trying to figure out what's going on and rescuing any survivors."

The bad news over, Ranma perked up as he got the fun part. "If you can wait a bit though, I have this awesome Arena of Death back at my capitol. It even has these cool pit monsters you can fight to warm up with, all kinds of nasty beasts from various worlds. Ya mind postponing the match a bit and just calling a cease-fire until then?"

Frowning, Korith considered the situation. It was pretty obvious now that the boy-emperor was actually fairly eager for personal combat if he'd forgotten about some sort of bioweapon on the loose. They'd of course taken note of the local battle, so the Klingon decided to assuage the curiosity. "For now, I believe that is acceptable," spoke the Klingon before shifting into a grin. "Now tell me of these 'bio-weapons'."

Blinking in surprise, Ranma suddenly realized that he really should have told them about them. "Yo, someone show them what these things looks like. Heck, just show them all the enemies on Glacia we know of, and what our guys look like so they know what's going on. Anyways, watch out for organic meteorite things, these bio-weapon things can launch little parasite versions called 'space herpes' that can pierce a ship hull using acid. Pretty damn nasty, ya don't want to get hand-to-hand with them from what I was told."

Receiving beamed images and video, Korith was starting to become interested in these developments. Highly stealthy armor plated creatures that fought with claws and had internal fluids composed of molecular acids? Now that sounded like an interesting foe to battle. More impressive the boy-emperor was dealing with strange mechanical foes as well, as well as the evidence pointing to the fact that all three enemies were new to him as well.

For his part, Ranma had fallen into thought after regurgitating the sit-rep for the Klingon commander. Telling Korith what was going on had put the situation into a new perspective. "Yo helm, bring us around so we can broadside the area around that refugee camp! I want all turrets to give cover fire to the guys on the ground!"

General Grimm in particular was both surprised and pleased with the idea. While familiar with the ship, he hadn't seen it in action as Ranma had, so he hadn't thought of such a possibility. "You heard him, Fire Control, make sure you don't hit any of our boys!"

Getting into the mood, Ranma pumped one arm in the air while calling out exuberantly, "Yeah, Light 'em up!"

To the Klingon's growing interest, several turrets on the large Mongo vessel swiveled to make their projections face the planet. Why this was so became apparent as the various sized cannons lit up space in a crisscross of energy beams that swept the planet's surface. It was a strange looking ship indeed, but it apparently had a great deal of firepower, as even they lacked sufficient weapons to bombard a planet in such a manner.

Already Ranma was deep in thought once again, the appearance of three strange new enemies on Glacia and then the Klingons was suspicious. With the appearance of the Klingons whom he knew from a fictional source the same as his Battleship Yamato and robot designs, he was beginning to think that perhaps someone was creating hostile creatures from fictional sources somehow.

"Yo Comm, can you link up with Earth and get on the internet there to look up some info?"
