"Really, Ranma, that's quite a surprise," said Kasumi pleasantly.
"Yeah right, Saotome, you don't have two yen to scrape together," said Nabiki.
Akane glowered at Ranma, wondering why he didn't buy her something.
"So, uhm, tomorrow being your birthday and all, happy birthday." Ranma let out a deep breath. "So, uhm, Multi-san?"
The little robot girl stepped in and bowed to the group. "Hello. I am Multi HMX-14. I am a multi-function android whose specialty is cleaning. I have had a minor systems upgrade since my last owner, and am now equipped with several useful accessories. I hope we will be good friends, Kasumi Tendo!"
Everyone was silent for a moment.
"An android? What kind of joke is this, Saotome?" Nabiki demanded.
In answer, Multi rolled up her sleeve and slid an access port open in her forearm. "As you can see I have a handy accessories outlet and can run small appliances off my main generator. I can do lots of things and I really really try my best!"
Ranma beamed. No way was someone going to beat this gift!
Multi began to get nervous. Why was everyone (except her purchaser) staring like that?
