Imperial Heir: An Oracle's Prophacy [Episode 42629]

Emperor Constantus VI looked down at the primitive world below him, lost in thought. He was remember how he had come to this galactic backwater and the grave choice before him.

Constantus was a emperor without a suitable heir. His one child was totally unfit to rule. He had tried again and again to sire of select an heir, but he only had one child and all the potential successors proved to be sub-par. Now he was dieing, and there was no more time to wait. He needed a successor, and he needed one now.

In a fit of desperation he want to the Oracle of Kethales. Her predictions had proven to be totally accurate for over one thousand years, her word was all but infallible.

She had told him that he would have no more children before his death and that he would find no suitable heirs in his borders. She pointed to a star and told him to choose from there. That his choice would doom his people or bring them greatness. He now stood in orbit of that stars sole inhabitable world.

He had come to a decision, chosen a heir from the teeming population of this primitive rock. He had searched the records of countless humans and digging through Rumors and half truths he had found a soul who might just make the cut.

Constantus turned around and looked at the officer manning the ships teleporter. Time to see if his choice would accept.

“Bring him up!” growled the ageing emperor.

“Yes, m’lord!” replied the technician and he activated the device.

Constantus smiled and the flashing lights before him faded to show the very confused face of one…
