She checked on Crystal Tokyo.
A quick trip to the time gates, and she'd just see what...
"Hello there, my little princes and princesses. This is Artemis on the mighty KCTY - the Voice Of Crystal Tokyo 94.9 FM. It's 4:30 CTT. I hope you've got your homework done, and that life in our fair city remains kind for you."
Setsuna stared about her. The crystalline city was on the moon. Beneath it was a green earth with no sign of the Great Freeze. She began walking through the streets under the polarized dome and stared.
There - a family having a picnic in the park.
There - a pair of lovers snuggling together by the fountain with a statue of Usagi and Mamoru in a similar pose rising from the waters.
Over there - what looked like missile launcher bunkers just outside the dome, pointing outward as if to warn off menaces.
Here - a young man walking a dog and nodding at... ?!
Setsuna half-hid behind a post. There was Makoto?! Clearly a little older - her mid 20s though that could mean this was anywhere from seven to seven hundred years in the future considering how the Senshi aged. She was standing in front of a flower shop, from which the smell of fresh baked muffins rose?! How could this be?!! She was supposed to end up miserable without a boyfriend or career after the Great Freeze destroyed most of Earth's biosphere! Yet clearly this was Makoto Kino, and that was clearly... a little version of her running outside to play with...
Setsuna Meiou leaned against the post to steady herself. None of the Senshi were supposed to have kids. Yet those were definitely child versions of Makoto, Minako, and Hotaru! She watched them run off, feeling a little dizzy from this unexpected change.
The nearby radio playing with Artemis' voice declared the start of a concert with the violinist Michiru having just returned from a tour on Earth.
Setsuna twitched. Michiru was supposed to be dead with Haruka and Hotaru. None of the three had survived to the time of Crystal Tokyo and the problems of the Great Freeze. But there had been no Great Freeze? No billions dead? So that meant...
Setsuna found a nice bench, apparently carved of transparent crystal, where she could sit down. As she settled the turmoil in her mind, it was obvious what her reaction should be to these developments.
