Ted nodded. These would make an interesting impact on the world...

The scene back at the pool had progressed slightly. Pyro had left to go get help. Vash was panting on the side of the pool, with two swollen cheeks. Rogue was upset, having wrapped herself in her towel and continued to glare at the Humanoid Typhoon. Brianna and Bobby were trying to get more information, but were running into the basic problem that neither really knew what was going on.
Then the air was split by yet another vortex, and another figure fell from the sky, cursing all the way down and into the pool.
After a few moments... the figure didn't rise. "Oh, no! I think he can't swim, either!" Bobby said, and made to dive in... but then the figure leapt from the pool, and landed by them with a strange green energy blade in his hands.
Brianna studied the new arrival with an appreciative eye. Not too tall, long blond hair, definite pretty-boy looks. He wore some sort of black body suit, to which pieces of red armor were attached. There were gold and green highlights to the armor, and it was topped off by a strange red headpiece with a green gem on the forehead that offered no face protection, and seemed to be just a decoration.
"Okay, scumbags!" the stranger called. "I don't know what you mavericks are planning but... wait a second... you guys are... human?!" he finished.
The others blinked. "Um... I don't know what's going on, but we had nothing to do with transporting you here..." Rogue said.
"Yeah... and I came the same way you did." Brianna stated, then pointed to Vash. "So did he."
"Shit." The stranger said, and turned off his sword. "I don't suppose you can tell me where we are?"
"Uh... first, who are you?" Bobby asked.
The new comer blinked, then mumbled, "I think I need a new agent..." before saying with a small bow, "I am commander of the Maverick Hunter's 0 Squadron. My name is... Zero."

Elsewhere in the world, a particularly nasty computer virus was cursing. Somehow, it had ended up in this... backwards, insanely primitive 'Internet' thing. It hadn't taken long to determine that it was in the past... and then to determine that it wasn't in IT'S past. According to its memories of history, the world should still be recovering from a third world war by now.
Well, however it got here, its mission remained the same. It would take some time before it could adapt the relatively primitive technology available into something it could work with, but time was on its side.
It could wait. Wait until it could build a new, better body.
And then Sigma would live again...
