"Good, 'cause I ain't really had much luck with school."
"Oh, you are having trouble with the work?"
"Some of it, but it ain't like I really care about it."
"Then why would you like to get this package?"
"'Cause I'd really like ta pass a test with somethin' other than a barely passin' grade."
"I'm... confused. I thought that you didn't like school."
"I don't."
"Okay..."
"It's like this. I grew up on the road and only got ta go to school when my old man felt like it or when the authorities made him send me. Not that I figure that I missed much."
"Why would you say something like that?"
"I think that any place where a headmaster has a palm tree growin' outta his head and wants ta shave my head is not someplace that I would say is really worth it."
"Okay..."
"Then there's the age-changin', chi sucking teach that I got for homeroom..."
"Oh..."
"And that's not to mention that all boy's school back when I was in middle school and they used ta make us fight for the breads."
"I... can't imagine that..."
"Neither can I, but I've lived it. 'Sides, that's not all my trouble."
"It's not?"
"Nah, but this should help me keep my grades up so that I got one less thing ta worry about."
"Well then... let's get you educated..."
Rolling his eyes, Ranma sat down in the chair and tried to relax. He didn't know what was going to happen exactly, but he figured that they had lived up to their promises before, so this might notbe a problem.
"Now, don't worry. You'll feel a little sleepy, and when you wake up, you'll have all the knowledge that you wanted!"
Ranma nodded, and then realized that it felt like his head was floating pleasantly. His eyes were slowly shutting, and his muscles were loosening up. Soon he was in a light nap, and the machine set about doing it's work.
When it was done, he took a while to reawaken, but he did so. Opening his eyes, he looked around and realized that:
