Dual Senshi: Brought to you by MUGEN!! [Episode 44122]

by Yasanagi

Igniz was certainly no idiot. Any mastermind who could create an organization like NESTS would certainly have a back up plan in the microscopic probability that he might be defeated. There was a spare underground base, hidden somewhere near Southtown, which housed the secondary cloning facility.

Everything had been auto-programmed by Igniz himself. All an agent had to do was submit a sample of DNA and the machines would not only duplicate the original (and possibly improve upon them), they would program an appropriate mindset for the clone. Igniz had pre-programmed the facility to release his own clone in case his lifesigns had dropped. With the fall of the NESTS base, the clone Igniz was awakened and debriefed of the events that led to his original's demise.

He wasted no time in activating the clone of Zero, who had Ling's face, the Dark Arts special moves and four cyborg strikers who could hit the opponent off the ground and juggle them into the air briefly for Zero to attack. The cyborg strikers were two Original Zeros and two Omega Rugals. Their programming was limited in terms of attacks to make room for power and obedience from their master.

Next was Krizalid. No major changes to him except he can summon a cyborg striker of himself (with the funky coat) briefly to fire a Negative Anguish.

Perhaps the stranger clones were Gaibel, Yasanagi and Chris Type-M. Gaibel was a copy of Goenitz but he had special abilities far surpassing his original along with different and more damaging Desperation Moves. Gaibel had a command over wind, water, fire and lightning.

Just who was Yasanagi? Simple. Take part of Iori Yagami, part of Kyo Kusanagi and what do you get? This special clone has a mixture of Kyo and Iori's moves (including Kyo's signature DM Orochi Nagi and Iori's signature DM Ya Otome) but had his own devastating abilities. And when his health gets dangerously low, the Riot of Blood takes over and he goes nuts.

Chris. Where to begin? He has so many DMs that I won't even bother explaining them all. A bit of Kyo, Iori, Krizalid and his combined forms of Orochi Chris and Normal Chris. Yeow. Other things to mention...cyber strikers consisting of Goenitz, Shermie and Yashiro, a controlled Riot of Blood (meaning he can riot and still retain control over himself) and in case everything else fails, he can transform himself into Orochi. {NOTE: Wasn't programmed in the MUGEN version but I decided why not?}

I'm not done yet folks. NESTS still has a few more experimental clones which are still in incubation. Isabelle, a duplicate of Kula Diamond except that she has demonic powers instead of ice powers, is due to awaken soon. They had also taken bits of Ken Masters' DNA to create a clone infused with Orochi power. Violent Ken would be ready to go soon. They also had a Sagat clone/cyborg codenamed MB-02 almost at the final stage.

And then there was the most dreaded clone of all. Dark Athena Asamiya. Before you start laughing, NESTS had been able to give her unfair special abilities such as an infinite energy source to constantly perform DMs. She also has higher stamina, constantly heals herself (this doesn't require any effort. It's automatic) and can create a ghost image of herself that can damage the opponent as well. It would be hard to tell which one is the real one when they are both beating you. Let's not forget her new DMs and the improvements to her old ones. It'll take some time before she comes out though.

And if the re-awakening of the NESTS cartel wasn't bad enough, what about Shadaloo? Was Bison truly dead or did he transfer himself to a new body in time? Speaking of evil organizations, I might as well toss in the fact that Gill has his own plans which may bear some fruit soon.

Outside of evil criminal organizations, everything else was fine and dandy unless you count the Dark Hadou energy corrupting Ryu after his victory over Shin Akuma. Don't worry. Akuma will be back. He will have to continue to fight as long as Dark Hadou energy remains on this world.

Perhaps the strange part so far in this tale was Ken being affected by Dark Hadou energy. Bison had ambushed him earlier and given him a taste of the power which he stole from Akuma after his dolls had been able to subdue him. There had been some great losses but the invaluable energy of the Dark Hadou was worth it. Especially when he tested it beside Psycho Power. Ken's Dark Hadou energy did not awaken against his initial battle with Ryu (this was before the Dark Hadou energy started to affect Ryu's power) however as soon as Ken had regained consciousness, the evil power had also awakened. Now Ken was driven to find the answers behind this new power and the only people he knew he had to 'convince' to get an answer were Evil Ryu and Akuma.
