The scattered cans of sake littering the room was his first clue that his guardian was home, and most likely not in the most perceptive of moods. Unfortunately for Shinji that was quite true, he was about to find out just how much so. Gendo had some how found out how her lax attentiosn to Shinji's care that had resulted in another beating for the newly christened pilot of EVA 01.
"Whersh ya been?!" it was a slurred barely concious voice matched by the glassy vacant look in the eyes of the purple haired young woman, "Yers shupposed to be here! What if shome angel had attacked.... HUH?!?"
"S-sorry..." his head bowed as a wave of guilt pass through him. Deep in his pocket, the disk grew even warmer in response to the wave of guilt.
"Yeash... whatever..." She slurred once more as she let the can of sake fall down ont the table as her face followed soon after.
Unable to stop himself he turned and ran, forcing the apartment door open wide as the disk in his pocket began to pulse with an increasing heat.
