"It wasn't my fault!!!" Keiichi said nervously, wondering when the girls were going to wake up.
"Oh don't worry about them," Hild said smuggly, sitting down. "It was a simple matter to just prolong how long they'd be asleep so that I could talk to you."
"And why would you want to talk to me?" Keiichi asked.
"Oh, just to deliver a bit of a message," Hild said, filing her nails. "Like tell Mara she's fired..." she leaned over with a predatoy look. "...I'm certain you know what THAT means for her."
"Just because of last night?" Keiichi snapped. "But..."
"We're Hell, we can decide to terminate our people whenever we want, and she doesn't have the best track record," Hild said. "But I decided to give her a bit of a fair warning...oh...and while I'm here..." She snapped her fingers and the demon marks on Mara's face turned gray and lifeless. As they did so, Mara's face began to appear tormented and pained.
"HEY!!" Keiichi said.
He didn't particularly like Mara most of the time, but she'd helped them out of a jam or two (usually after causing them) and he certainly didn't like to see people picked on. But he couldn't move.
"Well, that should suffice..." Hild said, fading away from view.
As the demon lord faded away, Skuld came in and saw the scene emblazoned before her eyes and started screaming.
Belldandy wakes up first, being actually kind of groggy for once, and the others sort of stir awake.
"Skuld, now," Belldandy says cautiously as she takes in the surroundings herself. "Don't over..."
"You...you...PERVERT!!!" Skuld shouts. Then Urd, on top of Keiichi, sits up and rubs her head.
"Damn, I think I made that potion too powerful," Urd muttered. Skuld's eyes lock on her, to Keiichi's relief. Fortunately for both of them, they were all too close to Belldandy for her to risk anything.
"What happened last night?" Peorth asked as she sat up and then looked around, blinking before a slow smile wormed it's way onto her face.
"Potion?" Sayoko muttered. "Wait you mean the drinks were spiked?" That might explain why she had woken up wrapped around another woman's back.
"I didn't expect it to be THAT strong," Urd protested.
"URD!!!" Keiichi, Skuld and Sayoko yelled in unison.
"I don't feel so good," Mara muttered weakly. Belldandy looks toward her and gasps.
"Mara, your demon marks are...." Belldandy hesitated, not wanting to give the bad news.
"You're marked for death, girl," Peorth said, a little chilled herself. Who knew just who Mara's double was.
"What?" Mara asked groggily.
"Yeah, Urd's mother was just asking me to tell you you're fired," Keiichi said hesitantly. Mara sat up blankly.
"WHAT!!!??"
