"No!" Belldandy called out. "Mara, you'll not recover the energy!" Everybody stood back preparing to shield against the coming attack or else to take cover.
"I don't care!" Mara answered. "If I'm dying she dies with me!" She reared back her hands and then suddenly spasmed, the dark power dissipating as she pulled in her breath with a ragged cry and then collapsed backward into a petrified Sayoko's arms.
"She's...light," Sayoko said.
"Yeah, she does look thinner," Keiichi said as he calmed down.
"That's because the idiot just blew a lot of her reserves," Skuld said, frowning. "She's cut off her life by at least a month with that stunt."
"What are you talking about?" Keiichi asked.
"She's been cut off from Nifelheim," Urd said simply. "Unless she's again accepted as a demon, she'll die from lack of nourishment.
"And a god or goddess will die with her," Peorth added.
"Isn't there anything we can do?" Keiichi asked, helping Sayoko lay the unconscious demon back down.
"The only other way is to totally heal the scar," Belldandy said.
"What does that mean?" Sayoko asked.
"She must accept the creator into her heart," Belldandy explained further. "And give herself over to light to become a goddess."
"And can you imagine HER switching to the light side?" Skuld asked. Nobody else seems to be as inherently hostile toward the situation. Urd could have told them why...but she figured it might be better to wait for it to show up and decide it was an unexpected additive. Why did they need to know that the lot of them, including the one still asleep (how she did not understand) under the covers, were now bond in bounds of love, concern and carnal desire until...will practically forever.
"AND when are you perverts going to put on some clothes!!!"
