This was just another day of the bizarre series of events that made up his life. From idiot swordsmen that had problems with watermelons to oversized mirrors that made copies of him, he'd not ever had what could be called normal. Even when he'd come to someplace where'd he'd have some regularity in his life, the major recurring event was that bizarre stuff would be happening to him.
He'd love to only have martial arts challenges. Not some wierdo coming to kidnap his fiancee, or some stupid idiot with some magic artifact, but just a match between two combatants. But he just knew what his father would say. 'The life of a martial artist is fraught with peril'. Pheh. He was back at the dojo, likely playing shogi and drinking sake while Ranma was having to help Akane get rid of her curse.
Still, nothing was going to happen if he whined about it. The only thing that he could do would be to take it like a man. It wasn't like someone was just going to drop superpowers on him, so that he could beat everybody and everything.
What he didn't realize at the moment was that he had gotten a super power just as he had eaten the 'Power Bar'. And that the power he had been given was going to be in the form of:
