However Spells R Us was a franchise. One of the Wizards running the store fancied himself a sportsman. Putting in items that would actually have a chance of benefitting the individual was something that he did regularly - it made their floundering around later more amusing.
Ranma had somehow beaten all the odds and pulled out just such an item. Possibly because it was a health food snack and he considered himself an athlete. It was a Power Bar. Granola that had extra vitamins and minerals if bought somewhere else.
At Spells R Us though, it had a definitely different effect.
