"Dr. Ayanokoji, come back to us. we can continue working on the Steel Angels." Dr. Ayani pleaded with a sofetingn of her features.
Never! I will not allow the Steel Angels to become weapons of war! Like that Kongo you’re riding on! The pile of rubble Kurumi and Ranma were under slid away.
“Master! Are you alright“. Kurumi was checking Ranma over for injuries with a look of intense concern. “Yeah, I’m fine.” Ranma was hiding his embarrassment with a gruff voice. A girl tried to save him! If his old man or P-chan were here, he’d never hear the end of it. His robes weren’t even dusty. Ranma checked up on his saviour and his surroundings. The shock of kissing a girl was wearing off rapidly.
Weird mecha with some lady with glasses riding on it...check…
Some strange guy with glasses..check
VERY Big hole n the basement ceiling…check
Any other observations were interrupted by Dr. Ayanokoji.
“Kurumi! Destroy the Kongo! Now!
“Hmmm?” Kurumi turned to look at the doctor with a look of confusion along with Ranma.
“I gave you an order Kurumi! Destroy the Kongo!”
“Why should I obey the orders of a strange old man?”
“Old man?”
“Old woman, then?”
*multiple sweatdrop*“Kurumi, stop fooling around. I’m the one who created you. I’m your parent!”
Kurumi’s face took on a look of intense concentration. “I know!” “You’re my mommy!”
*Face fault*
Ranma was enjoying the exchange . But that was short lived when a squad of soldiers armed with bolt action rifles entered the basement through the stairwell across them. Ranma vaguely noted that the uniform pattern was similar to those worn just before WWII.
“Kurumi!” “Run” Dr. Ayanokoji turned and started running toward the opposite stairwell.
The following events happened simultaneously:
“You can’t escape me!”. The Kongo reached down with its left hand to grab Dr. Ayanokoji. Ranma rushed forward to intercept the hand. Kurumi, thinking that Ranma was following, had ran toward Dr. Ayanokoji. The ground floor collapsed around the Kongo., ssending it down to the basement with a roar and a cloud of debris.
When the cloud cleared, Ranma was holdng back the hand the reaching for Dr. Ayanokoji.
“Master!” “Young Man”!” Kurumi turned around and rushed toward Ranma. A section of the ceiling above her collapsed and burried under a thick slab of rubble.
“Stay back!” Ranma had his hands full at the moment. He didn’t notice Kurumi buried by the slab. It was taking a lot of effort to back the hand. The mecha was pushing against him, the left thread rumbling over the slab which buried Kurumi .Must be getting out of shape….
“You leave me no choice, Dr. Ayanokoji. Surrender now or I’ll be forced to destroy this other Steel Angel!
Before Dr. Ayami could make good her threat, the Kongo lurched and tilted as the slab the tread was on reared up. It broke in half as a white glove punched through, followed by a very angry Kurumi. “No one harms my master! No one!” cried Kurumi as she rushed forward. She threw a single punch that shattered the elbow of the Ranma was holding back. Ranma threw the hand and forearm to the side where it created a hole in the wall. He was preparing to charge the Kongo when a pink haired Angel picked him up at leapt up and out of the basement. Rama idly noted that the house was totally gone, leaving only the basement. Kurumi set him back on the ground with a look of concern.
“Hey, who told you to butt in!” .Ranma was annoyed. Kurumi looked at him. "I’m not going to let them hurt you master” in a tone of complete conviction. Ranma was surprised. Shouldn’t he be the one saying that instead of the other way around? That was when he noticed a black blur descending toward them. He turned and placed himself in front of Kurumi. Just as fast, Kurumi placed himself in front of her. Clang! Oooooh! The spectators where impressed. Even Ranma. She stopped the punch! Impossible! The Kongo’s punch has a force of 10 tons! That was when Dr. Ayani noticed that the Kongo was being lifted rapidly… Aaaaah! Kurumi threw the mecha high into the air. She then performed a perfectly executed spin kick that threw the mecha sailing into the forest.
“Bye! Bye! Desuu” Kurumi called out as the mecha disappeared into the forest surrounding the house.
Ranma was still looking still at the spot where the Kongo disappeared to when someone hugged him tight…very tight. “Master, are you sure you’re all right.” “Can’t…breathe” gurgled Ranma. “Sorry”. Kurumi released him with a sheepish grin. Ranma was getting more confused by the minute. Stronger than Ryoga, a temper like Akane, probably as fast as he was and glomps like Shampoo. But the main thing that confused him is that she apologized. No one had ever apologized to him.
“Hey! Kurumi! Help me!” Both Ranma and Kurumi stared down at the basement where Doctor Ayanokoji was waving. “ “Why should I help you?” “We’ve been over this Kurumi,. I was the one who created you. I’m your parent.
“Ehhh..Kurumi, right?”.
“Yes, Master.” ‘Why don’t we all leave together?””
Ranma was quite sure what was going on, but he wasn’t to leave anyone behind in the hands of the military. Besides, he needed to get away from here as soon as possible. He need to make sure that Nakahito made it safely.
“Right, Master”. In two bounds, Kurumi jumped down, grabbed Dr. Ayanokoji into a fireman’s carry and went back to Ranma’s side. Ranma then jumped up and into the forest, landing on a clearing. When he landed, he slapped himself on the head mentally. He forgot that Kurumi might not be able to do what he can do. He was surprised and pleased when Kurumi landed moments later, carrying Dr. Ayanokoji.
“Where are we going, Master?” asked Kurumi. Ranma was stumped. He didn’t think that far ahead. Dr. Ayanokoji solved that problem for him.
“I have a friend who lives nearby . He can help us”. “Which way?” The good doctor pointed in a vaguely familiar location. Ranma was pleased. The sooner he can drop off these two the better. He really didn’t want to bring any problems to Kamahito-sensei. He and Kurumi then took off with a jump. In the meantime....
