“So you are going through with this?” asked Stripe, stifling a yawn. Brittney really pulled out the stops last night, trying to “out-scream” her sister.
“Yes,” said Princess Tyr. “I must find out if this is the same Genma Saotome, and confirm it for myself; before I even think of informing Ranma of what has occurred.”
“That’s real nice of you,” said Brittney, a small smile on her face. Wah! Me and Muffin lost!
“Do you know where you will arrive?” asked Stripe.
Tyr nodded. “It is set for the same spot Ranma leaves from, under the bridge. I also have a map to show me where the Tendo Dojo is so that I may confirm if Genma is the one my father dealt with. With any luck, I can be done within the hour and back here, before I can get dragged into the craziness of the area.”
“And if you do?” asked Brittney.
“Then I use the Emergency Jump function for my Light Gate remote and return in a hurry,” said Tyr, smiling as she held the newest remote that Gina had made.
“Then off you go, and good luck,” said Brittney, waving as the princess vanished.
Shaking her head, she turned back to Stripe as they left the room. “I hope it’s not Ranma’s old man; he has enough on his plate.”
Stripe nodded. “Look at it this way; the others might not want him now if they see him as a monster,” he said, trying to be supportive.
Brittney glared at him, not liking the fact that Ranma would have to be seen as a monster, before a new flash of light filled the room. “Man, must’ve been quick.”
The two returned to the room, only to not see Princess Tyr, but...
“Excuse me,” said Sheila, holding a suitcase, “but is it okay if I stay with you guys for a while?”
“He did what?” growled Gar, as his sister finished explaining why she was there.
“Of course the damn jerk did it,” said Sheila. “But I can honestly say I am no longer pining after that thrice-timing were-tiger!”
“You did give him a Kapowie, right?” asked Gina.
Sheila smiled. “As hard as I could. It was a pain packing a suitcase with a busted hand, but I feel much better now.”
“Hey, Munchkin!”
Growling, Sheila raised her fist, swinging quickly to hit whoever called her that. She hated to be reminded that she was short. “KAPOW ... ie? RANMA!” she screamed, seeing her fist caught by the neo-were-cheetah. “How the hell did you become a were-cheetah?”
“Um ... Brianna sort of scratched me,” he said, blushing, and not wanting to tell how or why she scratched him.
“Mom and Dad think it has something to do with Brianna’s own mystical energies and Ranma’s curse reacting to one another,” said Brittney.
“Is he a thrall?”
“Nope,” said Ranma. “Um ... at least I don’t think. Gina; am I a thrall?” he asked, as innocently as ever.
“Nope, stud; you’re your own man ... er ... whatever gender you are at the moment.”
Sheila nodded, before she tackled him, hugging him. “I missed you, Ranma,” she said.
They had been good friends on the adventures that he was on with the Diggers in Jade. With his curse, he didn’t look down at her with pity like most did when they found out the truth. Add to that the fact he treated her the same no matter who was around or what form she was in, and she could call him her best friend.
Sadly for Tigra, he was also the example she used to determine a “good man” from a “bad kitty”. And since Ranma never went after any girl who caught his fancy—mostly because he didn’t know how and equated such actions to mean new levels of pain—Tigra dropped very quickly on her “in” list.
But now that Ranma was a were-cheetah, she found herself considering her own plans for taming the new were. If he was a stud before, he was a god now, and she had no intentions of letting him slip away. Besides, it wasn’t like she had to worry about Tigra now.
Ranma felt a shiver go down his back. He didn’t know why, but he felt like trouble was on the way.
He also wondered why Sheila was purring, and Gar was looking at him like Ranma had just insulted his Mother.
Brianna sat in her room, wondering what to do now. She was still grounded, and still very bored.
She also was considering her recent relationship with Ranma. Was it all true, or was he merely enthralled to her?
But more importantly, how could she get him back into the room for the next round of nookie?
Smiling, she ran over to her closet, tearing through several boxes and clothes, trying to find what she was looking for.
“Here she is,” she said, smiling, as she held up a packet; labeled Instant Jusenkyo Spring of Drowned Twins. She had been saving the packet to really work a conquest, or in case she needed to be two places at once.
Well, now was such a time.
While one of her remained in the room, the other would corral the Wild Horse and return him to her stables.
Filling up a small basin from her own bathroom, she poured in the contents of the package, before stripping her clothes—hey, she didn’t want to rip them—and pouring it over herself.
Smiling at what she thought was a great plan, she turned ... to see her worst nightmare.
“Hello, sister,” said Grave Digger.
“Eep.”
