The problems were many. Oh, not the physical transformation. That was relatively simple and straightforward. Azusa now had a pair of cat ears, slightly elongated fangs, a long fluffy tail, and her hands and feet were more catlike in appearance. Her shorter and stubbier fingers with their small claws would have trouble holding some objects now.
No, the real problem was that every attempt to alter the mindset into something useful had been digressed off into odd tangents.
Take the kleptomania for example. Fix that and it became some odd compulsive narcissism. Fix the narcissism and you had brain scans revealing some other problem.
Finally though, Dr Stein decanted her experiment and waited for her to awaken and imprint on her - becoming the Doctor's devoted minion.
Unfortunately, the Doctor didn't realize:
