There was one person up late during the night-time of Nerima. In the Tendo Dojo, Nabiki was sitting at hre desk in her room. Looking over her notes, she was a bit puzzled. All of her informants, Kikuko, Ryonami, and Asami had failed her.
None of them could find Ranma.
Internally growling in frustration, Nabiki knew this information didn't make sense. Ranma had left school during the afternoon before spring break, and then no one saw what happenbed to him after. This left Nabiki with many questions. And no answers were in sight.
Nabiki did not hate Ranma. She did, however, want to have Ranma in her clutches. She had her questions. Ever since that training trip, which got Ranma put in the news since he was near, and helped find an extraterrestrial spaceship, he wasn't the same anymore. He had become a bit more secretive, but also, he was a bit mroe at ease with life.
But still, she couldn't outright ask Ranma what happened then, or where he went when and IF he came back. It would be a wrong approach. After all, the pigtailed martial artist was rather stubborn to do something if he was being forced. No, she would have to be subtle. She would have to try and set up a 'friendly' talk with Ranma when he, (hopefully) returned.
However, Nabiki could understand why Ranma was secretive. Her family had put him through hell. Her father was ALWAYS pressing the engagement on Ranma, reminding him at least ten times a day how he was to marry Akane and take over the Dojo. Then there was Akane herself, a real brat who took Ranma for granted so often, that she was surprised that Ranma didn't just rent himself out as a punching bag. At least then he could have gotten a profit off of the pain Akane put him through.
Still... Even if she knew what the truth was, she was still angry because Ranma had dared to hurt her member of her family by leaving as he did without a word. And, while Nabiki was sure he might have told Kasumi, it was next to impossible to get anything out of the eldest Tendo Daughter.
Nabiki really hated to quote certain people of the Nerima crazies, but this time, she decided to make an exception, as it was rather appropriate to her mood. "Ranma, this is all your fault."
If he hadn't disappeared her father and sister wouldn't be a mess right now, as Soun was starting to get drunk again, and Akane was becoming obsessed with her 'training' so she could beat Ranma... And Nabiki should have been a lot of yen richer, with the photos she was planning to take of Ranma-chan during the Spring Break. That fact alone was probably what hurt her the most about the entire situation.
With a grumble, Nabiki looked through the papers of information her informants had gathered for her. While Nabiki did not hate Ranma at all, she knew that she would have to take a level of revenge for her family. After all, Soun and Akane may have brought this upon themselves, but they were her family. Ranma was not. He was just some dumb jock of a martial artist that had blown into Nerima and turned everyones' lives upside down. For that he would have to pay.
And at the moment, Nabiki had to decide where she wanted to hurt him more... Physically, or financially.
And so, Nabiki continued her research and planning well into the night.
"Ranma just got Brianna pregnant."
"WHAT?!? HOLY CRAP, I'M TOO YOUNG TO BE AN AUNT!"
