“Agent Raphiel,” an enormous, black obelisk demanded, “were you able to convince the new ‘god’ into surendering the keys to the universe?”

“No, holy ones,” Raphiel prostrated himself at the center of the henge.   “However, all is not lost, Great Masters.   The neophyte was unable to handle the power as the Oracle predicted, but was able to craft programs to do so for him.   The Great Will Of The Universe now resides in the form of nine emulations, patterned after females of his species, each containing a bare fraction of control over the universe.”

“Observe how this complicates matters,” another obelisk observed.   “Since the acquisition of the Great Will shall involve the dissemination of these female avatars, their user is likely to resist with great determination.   Humanoids tend to be illogically sentemental about such things.”

“I concur,” a third obelisk concurred. “However, the entities comprising the Great Will shall be vulnerable to capture and containment, and thus can be seperated from him without need for further subtefuge.   Deprived of their function, the user can be easily encouraged to surrender control to … those more suited to the task of ruling this cosmos.”

“Then the usefullness of this agent is at an end,” commented yet another obelisk.

“No!   Great Masters, I can still be of service.   I have...”

“Failed!” pronounced the first obelisk, “and the price of failure is extintion!”

“Wait…” Raphiel protested, but was obliterated in a blaze of energy.

“They always make such a fuss over being diseminated.   How tiersome,” sighed the last obelisk.   “Very well, onto the next item on the agenda.   What course of action should be taken to collect the nine avatars?”
