Almost after they returned home, Gina had shut herself up in her room. Her sisters were still unconcious when they got home, and Ranma was still shock up over what they had all become. Ranma and her sisters it seemed had the full process, unlike her who couldn't handle it fully.
She was only 24 years old, and now her life had been shortened by a week because of some damn alien mechinism. It was a moment like this she wished she had remained an academic bookworm instead of an adventure seeker. Many a times her life was on the line yet she had developed this sense of bullet-proofness. Probably because either Britanny, Brianna, Seance, Ryan, or Ranma were around or her own technology ensured nothing would go wrong.
Yet now, she was dying...
" GINA? What's wrong why's the door locked? Are you alright?" Ranma's voice echoed from outside her door as he lightly pounded on the door.
" GINA? What's going on why're you locking us out?!" Brianna's voice followed, concern evident.
" GINA YOU NERD LET US IN DAMMIT YOUR WORRYING US TO DEATH!" Britanny yelled a bit more harshly, but the concern in her voice almost had her near tears it sounded.
" GO AWAY!" Gina yelled in a sobbing tone. She couldn't face them now. Just HOW could she tell them she was going to be dead in under a week or two?
Suddenly her door smashed in as Ranma, who got fed up and worried to the critical point kicked the heavy door in, disregarding the now throbbing pain in his foot from doing that.
" Gina?" Ranma was on the bed at her side instantly, as was Britanny and Brianna. Thre thee of them looking deathly worried.
Gina sniffled and looked up at them. The look of dreaded worry in her faces was alost enough to send her into a further crying spell, but she knew she had to tell them the truth.
" Brit, Bri, Ranma... I I'm dying!" Gina wailed literally throwing herself at Ranma hugging him tightly.
" WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!" The three exclaimed,all color fleft their faces.
" G..Gina, your kidding..r.right?" Britanny stammered,tears already flowing down her furry face.
" Please tell me that's a lie, that we didn't hear those words." Brianna mumured in horrified disbleif.
" Ginchan..." Was all Ranma could mutter.
" Sniff, its true. Whatever happened to us, the process didn't finish working on me. My body somehow rejected the final implants or something, but the bottom line is I only have a week left."
" No, no, NO! You can't die YOU CAN'T!" Ranma exclaimed. " There's gotta be SOME way to cure yourself I mean, your Gina Diggers for Christ's sake! You can't just give up!"
" Ranma's right sis you GOTTA find some way to pull through! You can't...you can't leave us!" Britanny cried clasping Gina's hand.
Brianna latched onto Gina's back hugging her through tears. " Gina, please don't give up, if anything try for our sakes if not your own. We don't want to lose you we love you! Please!"
It was indeed a dark day, but could the light shine through and take away the darkness. Or would it consume all?
