[Episode 4736] [Episode 4736]Nabiki had seen some strange things in the last few months, since a certain aqua-transsexual had moved into her home, but she had to admit that the newest thing was stranger than most. A glowing, reddish-pink bubble completely enclosed the grounds of her home. It would have looked a bit comical, like a piece of bubble gum that had gotten out of hand, if it were not for the little crackling sparks of electricity crawled over the opaque barrier, that and the crowd of people who were busy barricading the street in front of her.
“What’s going on here!?” Akane, who was walking beside Nabiki, demanded of the two men who had just put a portable fence across the lane-way they were walking down.
Beside Akane, Ranma craned his neck, trying to get a better look at what was happening. “Geez,” he moaned slightly, “what now?” Experience had taught Ranma that strange meant trouble, almost always for him, and this was strange with a capital ‘S’.
“Sorry, you can’t come any further, this area is . . . Oh, it’s you Akane. Sorry. You and your sister can go on. But be very careful. Don’t go near that thing, whatever it is.”
“You don’t know, Mr Mirobishi?” Akane asked, recognizing one of her father’s friends from the merchants association.
“Where’s Kasumi!?” Nabiki suddenly demanded. Her usual detached mannerism slipping. Beside her, Ranma’s eyes widened, and his body tensed, Akane mirrored his action, if not in quite as impressive a manner.
