Serving those meals was an attractive waitress who the male customers tended to watch as she bounced (in more ways than one) in between the tables with various bowls of steaming hot ramen. Not that Shampoo really cared if they did or not. They could watch all they wanted, because she had her Airen. Besides, it wasn't like a few leers or awkward glances were going to do much harm, since she could bash them before anyone tried anything.
What did have her concerned was the distraction that her Great-Grandmother was exhibiting. Usually the Elder would be making some comment about boys or whatever, but since about mid-morning, she had been quiet and looking off towards something only she could see. It was almost like when old Rinse had started acting like that and talking to people from thirty years earlier.
"Great-Grandma...," called the lavender haired Amazon as she found the Matriarch standing as if she had been stirring a pot of ramen. "Great-grandma... Great-Grandmother!"
"Eh... What is it child?" asked Cologne.
"Is you okay?"
"Of course I am. Why do you ask?"
"Is lunch time and you no ask once about silly boys."
"So?"
"You no do anything. Just stand and stare at nothing."
"Relax child. I am perfectly fine."
"Shampoo just want make sure you okay."
"And I am. It is just that there is something in the air at the moment."
"Is something wrong?"
"That is the problem. I can not tell at the moment."
"We go check and find out?"
"Later. We don't know where it's coming from, and there is little worth doing so with such haste. Besides, we have a resturant full of customers who need feeding."
"We wait then?"
"Exactly. It isn't an immediate threat, but we'll investigate it after the rush."
"Okay Great-Grandma!" agreed Shampoo, and then bounced back out to the dining area, much to the delight of the male clientle.
Cologne watched her go and shook her head, while:
