Which was why he was following Zolf. Something about the guy had set off his gut feeling. So he followed the other man, and saw that he was using some sort of talking device where he thought that he wasn't going to be found out. Then he had taken off, Wulf shadowing him because this would be a chance to go and get proof that Zolf was a traitor. Then he could go back to Vega, give it to him, and prove that he would have been an asset to him, perhaps even a right hand man.
Zolf had detected something amiss, but he couldn't tell what. He had been a spy and was a pyrokenetic, not a tracker, so he wasn't sure what was going on. Without further information, he just continued on his way, making quick time to Skor Rock.
"Rodimus! Are you here?" he called out once he got there. He couldn't see anything, but that was to be expected. It wasn't like the other man was going to be there holding up a sign saying 'Here I am!' So, he just continued looking, trying to find a sign that his comrade was there.
Which came as a massive axe came spinning in an arc past him, and landed with a 'thud' in something that fell over right after.
"Rodimus!" said the pyrokenetic as he watched the bearded bald man jump into view. "What was that?"
"You were followed," replied Rodimus as he walked over and pulled his axe up with a grunt.
"I knew that something was up."
"Yeah, but you don't have to worry about it anymore," the other man told him as he reached down to use a cloth to wipe the red off of the blade.
"Thanks."
"Don't mention it. Now we have to report in to Master Zelgadis."
"Just a moment," Zolf said, a ball of fire appearing in his hand.
"Make it quick."
"I will."
Just a few moments later, the two men left the area, heading back to Zelgadis while:
