[Episode 50203] [Episode 50203]Seeing her ‘triggered’ his memories of her. She was Emi Sabako, a girl he rescued from some bullies a little over a week ago. Since then she had a crush on him that made her face light up every time she saw him.
Despite the crush, he didn’t feel nervous around her at all, because she was a ‘gelding’. Miki called it an enuch, but Ranma was more familiar with horses and thought it sounded better. Apparently Emi’s parents died in a car accident at age six, while Emi had only been castrated by the accident.
Normally in such a case, supplemental hormones were necessary, but it was determined Emi was a rare case that would be healthy without them and they weren’t worth the side effects.
As a result of having no appreciable hormones, Emi had physically grown up to look like a slim girl. Personality wise she was all shy sweetness with barely any aggressiveness.
The reason she was living with him was because Miki and him had determined Emi had run away form the home for a reason. Emi had been close lipped about it, and her school and adopted parents had been nervous when questioned. The subject had been dropped, and Emi had been allowed to live with Ranma instead of returning her to a questionable unknown home life.
Catching Ranma out of the corner of her eye, Emi paused in her food preparations and pulled the earphones off of each ear before setting them down. Unencumbered, she picked up a morsel of food and fed it to Ranma, who automatically started chewing. Smiling hopefully she asked him “Well, how is it?”
Ranma chewed appreciatively, using the time to do some thinking and try and figure out this new situation. Then he blinked as he realized it was good. The girl was specifically cooking for him and putting her heart into it and it showed, being as good as Shampoo’s, Ukyou’s or Kasumi’s cooking on a good day. “Ah, it’s great, uh Emi.”
The short haired blond beamed a smile to him while turning back to her dishes, ignoring the pause indicating insincerity in Ranma’s response. “Well, go in the sitting room and I’ll be there in a minute.”
The pig-tailed young man blinked at the gentle order, finding it conflicting with his memories of her.His memories told him she was very meek and would do anything as far as he knew. Curious and acting before fully thinking it out, he decided to test that. “Uhm, I’m feeling more like eating outside today, maybe on the balcony.”
Barely missing a beat, she looked at him for a second quizzically before lighting up with a pleasant smile again. “Oh, of course, that’s a wonderful idea. Just a few moments then.”
As the petite blond got to work finishing lunch, Ranma watched the domestic bliss somewhat dumfounded. She sort of reminded him of a blissful Kasumi as she worked, except her green dress was a bit more stylish, her apron seemed a bit larger and more ruffled, and Emi seemed to wear plain white stockings all the time.
Despite how sweet she seemed, he still felt something was still off about the situation that he hadn’t caught just yet. Maybe it was something besides Emi?
