Under interrogation, Ami quickly divulged details she immediately regretted blurting to her mother. Still, she wasn't grounded. Much.
Usagi likewise caved under pressure from her parents, who had recognized their daughter's eating habits and choice of words. Still, saving the world was better than they had expected, and now Ikuko was prone to using phrases like "How can you expect to save the world when you have grades like that?!"
Minako found out that her mother had seen the broadcast and she had been wandering briefly homeless as her mother had had the Mother Of All Kitten Fits. She quickly had determined whom she could stay with and was now sharing Makoto's apartment. (She had considered staying with the Outers but quickly realized that might cement her emerging reputation as a lesbian.) While the two were friends, things were beginning to get tense between the two due to very different ideas about housekeeping. (ie: Minako being sloppy and Makoto being tidy.)
Rei had no such problems. Neither did Hotaru, Setsuna, Michiru, or Haruka. Instead Rei's problem was a boom of business as more and more people noticed that second moon wasn't going away. Therefore buying anti-alien Shinto wards and charms.

You couldn't escape it listening to the all music stations either.
However, as Pluto could tell you, time does pass.
At Juuban High gymnasium, Sunday morning, the Senshi gathered. News crews gathered. Riot police gathered.
Kachoo appeared. He'd chosen a height of a mere 5'5" tall because taller might be considered threatening and these mammals might do something foolish if they considered this a hostile takeover.
"Hello people of Earth," said Kachoo to the newscameras. "Today my honored opponents and I contest in a battle of volleyball to decide the fate of the continent of Australia."
"I still say we ought to make sashimi out of him," grumped Uranus.
The rest of the Senshi didn't want to say anything (as someone might guess who they were) and the rest of the preliminaries consisted of Kachoo extolling the virtues of his opponents, the camera people getting lots of pictures, and Uranus beating down one entirely too forward guy with a camera.
"Oh and here comes my team," said Kachoo with a dramatic gesture as forms began appearing in colored light.
