His name was Rentarik, a name that in the ancient tounge of the Dragons meant'hope', and he had been waiting for this moment his entire life.
When all of the dragons had entered their slumber a single clan of White dragons had volenteered to remain awake and safeguard their helpless bretheren. For the next twelve thousand years they waited, carefully breeding themselves to avoid genetic stagnation while becoming stronger. When their god arose once more they intended to be well ready to serve him.
As time passed the clan remained hidden away from the prying eyes of man. However dispite their careful descrssion they also kept a close eye one the race. They watched as humanity forgot about the Great Age and fell back into barbarity and abandoned the last remnants of magic, save for a few enchanted weapons that were passed down through families.
They began to worry slightly as mankind spread across the face of the world with a drive that left them the creatures at the top of the food chain no matter where they settled. At the rate at which they were expanding by the time Osiris returned there would be no sinlge land unclaimed that possessed all of the habitats neede for the dragon races.
With this in mind they came to the discison that if a land could not be made availible by the time the God returned then they would have to take a drastic step, one that would require a lot of preparation.
They would MAKE one!
Such magics as those needed to raise a continent the size of Australlia out of the middle of the indian ocean, without devistating the planets eco system, did not come without a price. In this case the entire clan, save for one, sacrificed their lives so that their life force could power the spell. The one surviver was Rentarik, possibly there ultimate result of dragon Eugenics. The white dragon stood a collosul seventy feet tall(the average white being about fourty to fifty) and, most astoundingly, possessed three heads.
He was Retarik, the ultimate white dragon and the last High preist of Osiris the sky dragon.
His god had returned, his sleeping bretheren were awakening.
It was time for Atlantis to rise again and greet her new population as she began her role as the homeland to the draconic races.
