But at the moment, he was having to deal with things that didn't fit neatly into his world view. It wasn't something that was just fitting into what he had believed. And that was something that he was having trouble dealing with.
What he had thought was:
He was the one who was supposed to kill (or at least completely defeat) Ranma.
The short redheaded girl with the pigtail was Ranma.
If he knew where Ranma was, then he should tell someone in Nerima.
Akane had reason to bash Ranma, as he had probably done something wrong.
The thing was that he had found out a whole sort of other things were true.
Ranma was already dead.
The short redhead was actually Ranma's next incarnation and a girl named Sif.
Telling anyone where Ranma was wasn't exactly true because Ranma wasn't alive.
If Ranma was dead, that meant that Akane really had... No, kill that thought immediately. (No pun intended.)
All of which left him kind of dazed. Killing Ranma wouldn't work since the Saotome boy had already gone to Heaven. He didn't know what to tell anyone about Sif. Letting anyone in about what had happened to Ranma might be a problem.
So, rather than making some big exit, running away or getting lost, he just sort of... stumbled off, mumbling under his breath, "It's all wrong..."
It would take him a while to figure out some explination for it while:
