Kodachi smirked. "How delicious. A means to put myself ahead of the competition! ABRA KA POCUS!"

The sign changed on the wall. "Are you sure?"

"Stupid sign! How dare you question the Black Rose?!"

The sign changed again. "All righty then. Don't forget. You asked for it."

Kodachi stared at the rearranging stone lettering, the oddness of it penetrating and some tiny little voice of reason forcing its way through her layers of consciousness.

Alas it was too late.

• Kodachi meets Medusa.
• A pit opens up underneath Kodachi marked "Pit's Excavation Works. If it works It's the pits."
• Kodachi pulls the little drug dart out of her stomach and wonders why she feels so strange.
• some other fate befalls Kodachi
