Then his eyes blinked in confusion...when'd he get home and how? As he strained to recall the night before...all he got was vague images of a fight..then nothing.
" Man...must be more tired than I thought I was." Ranma grumbled as he got up. He looked over at his father who was snoring like a buzzsaw, obviviously he and Sooun wet drinking the night before or he'd be up for sparring. Being spared a sparring match, Ranma left the room and padded into the furo.
After bathing, Ranma practiced a few katas up until breakfast. Still feeling somewhat subdued, he managed to avoid a fight with Akane on two occasions during breakfast by simply making a small non-insuultive response that made the tomboy shut up in surprise.
The walk to school was uneventful, normal routine, arrive at schhol, kick Kuno and/or Principles butts for attacking him, make it to class before Hinako drained him for tardiness.
To Ranma's chargrin today was an exam he barely studied for ( which was not his fault as he was attacked near constantly or malleted out cold before he could study.) Plus he was still somewhat out of it, for a moment he could have swore his hand moved on its own during the test.
After that he went to his other classes and amazingly got his homework done quicker than usual, amazing he thought considering he felt like a zombie. Lunch was normal, eat, talk, eat, talk, bum some more food.
When he got back to Hinako's for the second set of classes with her..he found to his amazement (and the Class & Hinako's) he ACED the exam with flying colors! A PERFECT SCORE! He even beat the eggheads for top score.
Before the school day was out he found himself to have aced the homework he handed in from stunned teachers, and somehow he avoided a malleting from Akane by not insulting her and not envocking the 'insert-foot-into-mouth' tech.
Ranma was not a tad bit worried, while in some ways this was good..he felt a tad bit odd that he aced a serious exam he barely studied for...did all his homework in class and got A's....didn't shoot off his mouth....what was going on with him?
Confused, he opted to walk home alone taking the scenic route to clear his head once school was over. Of course this lead him to pass the ladle lady...
*SPLASH!*
" Oh sorry son..ny...oh my you didn't change into a girl again." The old lady said off-handedly.
Ranma blinked...and grabbed his chest...no breast...he was still tall...felt below..OH YEAH still male....
".....I'M FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I'M FREE, FREE, FREEEEEEEEEEE! MWAHHHAHAH!" Ranma exclaimed like a happy madman dancing around the area. " NEVER GONNA BE A GIRL AGAIN!"
" Oh I wouldn't say that now." Said a voice from within his head.
" GUH? Hey who's there?" Ranma demanded, setting into a stance.
" Calm down Ranma.....sheesh take about overexcited." Came the now diffinately female voice.
" Huh, wha...HOW'M I HEARING YOU IN MY HEAD?!"
" Well..technically that's because I am part of you now." Replied the voice. " Oh BTW the name's Birdy."
" Come again?" Ranma asked, but felt a change...and suddenly he felt disemboided as he looked at his reflection...he was now a SHE, but with long white hair w/ pink streaks in it.
" WHAT THE HELL?!" Ranma screamed.
Thus began the partnership.....
