Kachoo: Remaking Australia [Episode 52174]

by Kestral

The volleyball match had been fast and furious.

The aliens had been prepped for the game of volleyball and briefed on its idiosynchrosies.

Several of the Senshi were familiar with volleyball and sufficiently athletic to be good players. One was an exceptional player.

All of the aliens were athletic enough to be good players at the least.

The match was decided by three factors that quickly came into play. Usagi, Ami, and Hotaru. Sailor Moon repeatedly tripped, Sailor Mercury kept trying to scan her opponents and calculate angles and so was distracted, and Hotaru kept trying to return the ball with her Glaive. Even when she left it in the sidelines, apparently the brief panic of seeing the ball heading towards her was enough to place the Silence Glaive back in her hands.

The result was a win by a narrow margin by the Invader team.

The next match was decided by Uranus speaking up first, and would involve a race. The territory to be won in this case would be the continent of Antarctica.

Kachoo began work on his new territory.

The first thing he did was a display of power. It was not likely to cow the populace (23% according to predictions) but would serve as a declaration of intent. Finding a large section of desert, Kachoo set construction devices into place for what would be his governmental designate. A regional authority, human, who would then oversee the region for him.

Then came his troops.

He had quickly determined that blue eyed blonde women were considered pleasant on the eyes, and had also determined a number of secondary statistics that such were looked at as attractive by members of both human genders. Females of this subgroup, unless they were particularly tall and muscular, were seen as nonthreatening.

Production of these units immediately began. Strength, durability, healing factor, lifespan, and intelligence would be 500% of what would be expected based on normal humans. Kachoo decided to let humans who volunteered be genetically upgraded to these specifications.

Secondary to these units would be enforcers. Big and threatening was mandated for these soldiers. It was decided to go for a big muscular look, but also clearly armored and mechanical. Those who volunteered might also be able to specify this upgrade.

The flying tanks, walking howitzers, mega-cannon spider-tanks and the like were meant to indicate power and security. A show of strength to make the technological advantage obvious. Force fields turned away the human weapons and dispersed their explosive attacks.

The GOLEM forces, war machines hundreds of feet high and weighing thousands of tons, set up watch at the coasts and major population centers.

By the third hour, Kachoo had three thousand of each.

A local military group had arrived by that time at the tower. Kachoo took control of their electrical systems and shut them down. A few minutes after that, the reason for the land surrounding the tower having sunk was begining to make itself apparent.

Kachoo had a sense of aesthetics. His governor's tower would be a gleaming spire of silver in a perfectly circular lake.

The governor, he wanted someone elected from their people for that purpose. A true representitive. Then, based on what he had glommed of their development, informed the humans that the governor's position would essentially be a hereditary post, with a cabinet that would also serve as a new aristocracy.

One of the hurdles he'd known he would face was that the human population could handle ideas of a certain level of complexity or lower, and the more familiar the idea was the less uncomfortable that he'd make them.

The humans it seemed did not care for his taking over of Australia. Well, that was a short term problem. First thing was to deal with their military forces. Easily done. Kachoo expected it might take a generation or two of the humans before they accepted that things were simply going to be better for them.

On the other hand, he had a number of volunteers already for positions in his new government until the elections were done.

The technology he was making available to the humans who accepted his rule was merely a few hundred years in advance of what they currently had. Simple enough to do. Anything more advanced would be handled as "black box" as they described it. The Space Elevator for example.

Monorails would be good. There were also mineral deposits so far down that their current methods of excavation/extraction couldn't touch them, so automated mining. Oh and a fusion power plant right over there.

Hmmm. Some of the humans were already attempting to subvert the female units, but as the soldiers were completely loyal - were unable. Some of the humans were still leery of him and his purposes but accepting of the female soldier units. How odd but acceptable. The soldier units were fertile as he'd seen the possibility earlier.

He also decided the Governor's Palace would be given a human name for familiarity and ease of use. Alexandria was selected. Kachoo wanted something familiar but also starting with the first letter of the alphabet of the dominant language of that region, symbolic of beginnings.

There was some violence and guerilla groups forming. They could be dealt with eventually.

It was a great pity, but it would be far better for their species in the long run, and eventually that would count.
