Half-a-were: Here come the clones... clowns... whatever. [Episode 52510]

by Greyman

It was pretty silly, really.  Ranma was out shopping with his mother when it happened.  He was carrying her bags and letting her show off her manly son.  Then a tiny VW barrelled through the market; the pedestrians were all over the place, and it had to swerve several times before it knocked them over.

Ranma dropped the shopping, grabbed his mother and bounched off of two walls and a flimbsy street stall in order to avoid becoming another pair of statistics to the bozo behind the wheel.

The mini mobile finally screeched to a stop.  A door opened to release the bozo behind the wheel.  Bozo the clown, that was.  Another clown climbed out after the leader, then another, and another and so forth.  It was pandemonium as an impossible number of clowns emerged from the supposedly small confines of the bug.  The ran about and amuck amongst the crowd, spraying people with fake flowers and spritzer bottles.

Ranma deposited his mother on top of a recycling bin, then noticed that most of the crowd had been turned into small animals.  The clowns were spraying people with Jusenkyo water!

Nodoka watched with a mix of pride and concern as her son leaped into action.  She gasped as he clobbered clown after clown.  She cheered as her son seemed to have things well in hand.  She cringed as they sprang back up, only to be pumelled back down again and again at ever increasing speeds.  She bleated as she was spritzed with water of the drowned goat.

She roared as she shifted into cheetah form and sprang into action.  She was out of practice, but she knew one thing - that she had been wearing one of her favourite kimonos!

The clowns just would not stay down.  No matter how hard Ranma hit them, they just sprang right back up onto their feet.  No matter how hard Nodoka swiped the most damage she could do was to snap a few bracers holding up comically oversized pants.  No matter how fast she moved, she kept getting spritzed into a different form.

Then the inevitable happened.  Ranma had grabbed a spritzer and discovered an effective way of dealing with the clowns.  Their pancake makeup was waterproof, but spritz water down the frount of their pants and they stopped attacking to run around crying and pointing.  The trick was to avoid the squirting flower and spritzing bottles while doing so, as well as the stream of their tears afterwards.

The situation was more or less in hand when the enemy put a stop to that.  Fortunately the senshi made a timely arival right afterwards.
