A Rose at Hogwarts - Role Reversal: Revelations and Plans... and a Surprise. ^_- [Episode 53058]

Harry and Ginny watched as Snape left them outside of the infirmar after the professor of Potions and Head of House Slytherin had told Harry with a guarded look to send a Owl-mail to Gringotts. "Mr Potter, a transfer of such a sum of money is best done before the bank is closed at midnight. Else Mr Malfroy might not be too pleased with you."

"Of course, sir," Harry nodded with his own guarded look or rather the look that signaled that he was planning something or waiting for it to pan out.

Ginny, for her part, just swallowed at the monetary transaction that had just tooken place. "Harry, you have that kind of money?"

The older wizard student nodded at Ginny as they walked to the Owl room. "Yes, my parents left me a inheritence. Apparantly, they were fairly well off, and had been saving up money. Which is good for us."

The younger witch swallowed again at the calm way her senior brushed off five hundred Galleons. "But that's alot of money... five hundred galleons! You didn't have to pay that, Draco set us up!"

"Quite right, Draco did set us up. However, there was no way we could prove that without... incriminating... ourselves," Harry paused as they passed by a student, before continuing after he was sure there was no one to hear them again. "At times, one must simply roll with the blow. And Draco has handed us a weapon to use against him... his house elf would, I'm sure be able to tell us much."

Ginny nodded as Harry explained it to her. "That was very clever of you to think of that on the spot."

Harry smiled at Ginny, "I've learnt it's best to make lemonade with the lemons life hands you, then to cry and whine about it."

Later that night, on one of the many towers that rose high on top of Castle Hogwarts...

Ginny looked at Harry as he finished boiling a potion and drew an elaborate pentagram out of quicksilver. Whatever, the senior and her idol had planned, it was going to be... interesting.

"Ginny, I need you to drink this potion when it's cooled down a bit inside of the pentagram," Harry looked at his friend with a considering eye. "You'll appreciate what it does."

"This isn't something to do to Draco?"

"Oh no, Draco will get his... later," Harry smiled, the light glint off of his glasses again. Ginny blinked at the way his glasses kept reflecting light whenever he smiled evilly or plotted. "This is a little something to take care of that... fainting problem you had earlier."

Ginny nodded and made a face as she drunk the potion. "It tastes aweful."

"Sorry... but cures are suppose to taste bad," Harry looked appologetically at his friend. "Now, if you'll step out of that pentagram and concentrate on this mirror."

As he placed the mirror in the center of the pentagramn, Harry mentally went over the spell in his mind, a flub or blotch now would be... bad.

Gesturing at Ginny who was staring at the small pocket mirror, Harry inchanted the spell that he had found some time back, but had thought nothing of it at the time.

There was a flash of light as Harry finished the incantation, Ginny blinked and looked about.

Nothing seemed different.

"What was that suppose to do?"

"Pick up the mirror and look into it, Ginny," Harry smiled mischieviously. Not quite evilly, but there was a hint of good natured humour in his smile.

Ginny looked into the mirror and blinked at the miniature Tom Riddle inside of the mirror.

"You see, a few years back... my... foster brother had gotten thss muggle gift, a tamagachi. The muggles from Japan are very clever, I'll admit. A toy for children that simulated raising a pet."

Ginny nodded and waited for Harry to continue as she shook the mirror about and watched the miniature Tom Riddle inside scowl at her.

"That was when I thought of this for good old Tom Riddle," Harry smirked as he started packing up the equipment and excess ingredients used in the potion. "After all, he'll be nice and safe in there... and whoever has the mirror can tap on his knowledge and power."

Ginny blinked and looked at Harry with wide eyes as he put everything back into a small bag and took out a pair of mats to put on the tower floor.

"Come on, Ginny, let's look at the stars and I'll explain more," Harry smiled warmly at his friend, who joined him looking up at the stars.

"Think of a spell... any spell you want to know... but shouldn't be able to know at the moment... say the Imperius spell."

Ginny's eyes went wider as the knowledge simply floated into her mind of how to cast the spell as well as its limitations. "I... I know how to cast it now..."

"Exactly... I'm sure you can see the benefits of that mirror... right?" Harry didn't mention that all this was an ad lib on the spot as he had found himself liking Ginny and instead of using her as his pawn and underling, he simply made her into his partner.
