Postwar Admin. Bureau Report #6397
Name: Ranma Undersn
Height: 5' 10"
Weight: 148 lbs.
Birthday: 26 July (Day he was found)
Blood Type: AB
Race: Human/Japanese
The subject is an orphaned Japanese male found and adopted by Kliff Undersn, head of the Sacred Order of Holy Knights, a few years before the Crusades ended. Having shown a great talent for martial arts and ki magic, Kliff took Ranma as an apprentice and taught him in the ways of the knights. When Justice was sealed in 2175 and the Order disbanded, Ranma was already a full squire at the age of only eleven.
In the five years separating the end of the War and the First tournament, Kliff retired from wordly affairs and lived a quiet life but still continued his adoptive son's training. While Ky Kiske was his heir for the Sacred Knights' leadership, Ranma would inherit his fighting style and secret techniques. The subject proved himself a quick study, able to assimilate new moves in a fraction of the time normally needed.
When the tournament to form a new Sacred Order was announced, Kliff decided to come out of retirement, feeling something wrong with the whole setup. He was right since the tournament was a front for his other adoptive son, the gear Testament, to collect enough energy to free Justice of her prison. Ranma had volunteered to go in his place but the old knight's will had prevailed. Kliff Undersn died during the finals battling Testament.
Ranma Undersn received a message from Kliff, recorded before the tournament's finals, where his adoptive father said his goodbyes. He left him all his wordly possessions, including the relic sword Zanryutou (Dragonslayer), and recognized him as a full Holy Knight.
When the International Police came to escort him to the Japanese colony now that he wasn't under Kliff Undersn's responsibility anymore, he resisted arrest and escaped. There is a warrant and a bounty for his capture, alive. Since heredity is suspected to play a role in ki magic, the UN want him to pass his genes on the next generation.
There have been several sightings of Ranma Undersn since then, dressed in a black and gold-trimmed version of his father's combat uniform. He earned the nickname of 'Black Knight' because of this and his status as an 'outlaw'. The subject has apparently adopted the lifestyle of a knight-errant, wandering the world looking for wrongs to right, monsters to stop and leftover gears to kill.
As a Japanese, a ki master and the wielder of a weapon close in power to the famed jinki, Ranma Undersn is a considerable threat to our operations. His code of knightly honor gives us leverage to manipulate him however, possibly making him an asset we could use. His capture is to be considered a high priority for our agents.

Ranma was currently in a cemetary, standing before the tomb where Kliff Undersn had been put to rest.
The young knight kneeled in front of Kliff's last residence and spoke "Hello, Old Man... Father... It's been a year since you passed away...," Ranma smiled, "I've tried to live up to your example. It wasn't easy but I think I'm doing an okay job..."]
"I met Ky a few weeks ago. You'd be proud of him. He's still a true Holy Knight through and through, even if officially, he's just a policeman now," Ranma chuckled, "You know what? He tried to arrest me. He said the Law applied to everyone, no exceptions even for me. I managed to give him the slip without hurting him... much" Ranma grinned sheepishly when he mentioned that.
Then he sighed, a contrite expression on his face "I know what you would say but I cannot perform my duties as a knight behind the walls of the Colony. I don't think you would have left me your Art and sword in that case..."
Ranma kept talking for an hour, telling his father what happened to him during the past year. Finally, he put a vase of flowers on the tomb and stood back up, ready to depart.
"By the way, there have been rumors about a sentient gear running around recently. The United Nations posted a bounty of 500000 world dollars for its capture or death. So it must be true, right?" Ranma turned one last time to look at Kliff's tomstone "It's the real deal this time, Father. I swear I'll make you proud of me..."
Ranma drew the Zanryutou and performed the Sacred Order of Holy Knights' salute. Then he walked away, an intense resolve clear on his face, and left the cemetary. His destination: the infamous Devil's Grove where the new gear was rumored to be hiding.
