[Episode 5559] [Episode 5559]Ranma was dubious, to say the least, but he brought the collar anyway. If it didn't work, and if Akane's makeover didn't work either, at the very least she'd have a nice new collar to wear when she grew angry. Also, showing her the collar would test whether her makeover to “bring out the real you” worked as she hoped and she no longer became a dog when angry.
Besides the shoppe keeper had thrown in free candy with the purchase. Ranma was pleased with his bargaining skills.
Meanwhile, in the Furries 4 U store, Akane chewed on the bit while the assistant punched a hole in her newly elongated ear. Good girls weren't strays so she had to wear a tag.
“That's a good girl,” soothed the Vet. Akane wagged her tail at the praise and felt a lot better. “There you go dear; that's the last of it. You're all registered with animal control now, as legal property of Ranma Saotome.“
Akane flushed with embarassment but it felt really nice to know that she was Ranma's bitch. She hoped he'd liked her new look.
”I'll have to put you in a kennel until he comes to pick you up,” the Vet explained. “Come along, girl.”
Akane barked agreably, as she had yet to learn to talk with her cute muzzle, and followed her handler. Good girls did as they were told and Akane really wanted to be a good girl.” It seemed really important to her.
She crawled meekly into the kennel cage then scratched her fur while she waited; because the fresh growth itched so. The Vet placed Akane's clothes on top of the kennel - as pets didn't need to wear clothes. The he instructed her that, if she had to go, Akane was to use the dog run and do it outside. Akane barked her agreement, because she was a good girl and good girls didn't leave messes. That was more far important than the fact that everyone would be able to watch her go.
Sometime later Ranma returned to the Furries 4 U store to see if Akane was ready to go.
