In fact, about the only thing that was a problem was that her specially ordered treat, a giant candy statue seemed a bit... odd. Not at all because of anyone disagreeing with her choice, but because of a strange feeling that one would get from 'Panda and His Trainer'.
Peering at it, Nodoka wondered why it reminded her so of Soun.
"Hey, George," said one hotel employee to another.
The darker skinned man looked up at his collegue. "Yeah, what is it Steve?"
"Your family is native, right?"
"Yeah, and your point is?"
Steve winced. "I'm not knocking it or anything. I just wanted to know if this thing was in any way traditional."
"Sorry man, but this ain't been at any family gatherings that I've been to."
"Figured as much."
"Hey, it's only for the tourists," George said with a shrug, "and many of them just want to be able to go back home and say that they've been to the 'real' Hawaii."
"Still, a chocolate statue of a sterotypical tourist is pretty tacky."
"No arguement there."
The two hotel employees laughed, and left the frozen form of the Furinkan headmaster overlooking his beloved islands.
"Okay, sign here to take delivery of one order of 'Pastel PalsTM'," said the delivery woman.
Taking the clipboard in her hands, the eager woman quickly signed the paper on it. "There you go!"
"Very good," replied the deliverer as she tore of the top sheet and handed it to the customer. Climbing into her truck, she told her, "They're all yours. Enjoy!"
"We will!" replied the customer as the delivery woman drove off, and then turned to her purchase.
The Horde O' Hentai whimpered in their candy coated shells as they saw the women of Lower Slobbovia advanced on them.
The 'Swordsman Bar, Now with Extra Nuts!' had sat easily in its case for a long while. But as time went by, it shook and rolled with greater frequency until...
*CRACK! CRASH!*
It broke wide open, spilling pieces of container and candy all around. Standing there in his chocolate and nut stained clothing, stood Tatewakei Kuno.
"I have finally freed myself from that vile confectionary prision that I was forced into! Thus showing that no matter how cunning the scheme, nothing can stop one such as myself! But with my release comes the renewed need to protect the pure Akane from such fiends who would do such a thing to one such as myself!"
"Oddly enough, it does seem to be a bit chilly. No matter, for despite their attempts to prevent me from gaining that which is rightfully mine, I shall prevail! I shall stride forth through this door and onward to glory!"
Which wasn't really a good idea considering the plane that he was on was up at international crusing altitude and that was the emergency exit that he was heading to. He didn't know that though, and continued onward without checking where he was, while:
