Penny didn't waste time informing anyone they were starting a procedure that, if successful, would save Gina. Her first priority was getting it set up and getting Gina into the tank to begin.
Gina had gotten worse since that first serious attack. And the two subequent attacks didn't amke her any better. Currently she was on a cot nearby, unable to move at all without experiencing severe pain. Penny estimated she only had another hour or two to go at this rate.
So it went without saying that as soon as it was set up, she picked up Gina and placed her in the tank and began the process. The first part would need PEnny's constant eye to ensure it ran properly. After the first part, Gina would either be alive and regenerating, or dead on the spot.
So, within one hour, Penny would be going upstairs with either good or bad news.
