He froze for a second, then cursed his abysmal luck. It figures, right when he had a chance to change something for the better-- everyone shows up to screw it up. As usual.
"I hate this," his words were grumbled, eyes darting as he took in all possible exits, and tried to gauge who would follow him depending on which direction he ran, "I wish my life was more like Skywalker's--no multitudes of fiancées or enemies..."
Unfortunately for Ranma, he'd only ever seen A New Hope, and that had been with Ukyou many years earlier-- before the two of them had been engaged. His memories of the events of the movie were scattered, and had been warped over time.
Back when he'd first seen the movie, he'd latched onto the idea of the honorable Jedi. They had sounded so much like what his father was teaching him to be, so he'd attempted to pattern himself after them. Of course, the only two Jedi he knew of were Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker, and Skywalker seemed more like him than Kenobi had.
Over the years, he'd forgotten the specifics, though not his idolization of the farmboy turned rebel. It was that idolization that had pushed him to remain honorable, even through his father's stupidity and decidedly dishonorable actions.
Ranma thought he'd been doing pretty good at it, too. Right up to Jusenkyou and all that had occurred after it.
When he had wished that his life was like Skywalker's, what had been at the forefront of his mind was this:
Ranma, however, hadn't specifically stated Luke Skywalker. He'd simply said 'Skywalker'. To Ranma, there was only one Skywalker.
To Mihoshi, however, who was something of a Star Wars fanatic, and had read all the novels and comics, there were several more Skywalkers than just Luke. Some of them were even female, which shouldn't bother Ranma too much, since he did have that curse...
Smiling, the blonde genie clapped her hands, "Wish Granted, you are now..."
