So she smacked him on the back of the head and growled, "Why didn't you say anything when I came in?"
"Oh," he said sheepishly, "I was trying to figure out what this was."
"What?"
"That," the Lost Boy told her and pointed at the mural.
She looked at it in irritation, which vanished as she took in what was on the wall. The first image was of various dinosaurs in a jungle. An inset showed an image of a mosquito going from a dino to a tree and getting caught in some sap. Then came one of a giant rock smashing into the ground, followed by a picture of various dinos spread out upon the ground. Next was an image of mosquito in amber with a needle, which was accomapnied by a picture of people in white coats in a lab. Then came a dino egg hatching.
The final image was of everyday people looking at the dinosaurs as if it was a zoo.
"What the heck..?" she mumured.
"That's what I was thinking."
Akane gave him a dark look, but didn't say anything. It had the effect of making him shrink away, so it worked quite well. Besides, she had better things to do than to talk to the likes of him. She still had to figure out what this meant, and how exactly would she get off the island.
And to find out why she was getting a chill down her back.
"Whither Akane Tendo?" came the tones of Tatewakei Kuno.
Ah, that was why. It was her 'pervert sense' going off. Luckily, the jerk hadn't seen her yet, so she didn't have to deal with him at the moment.
"Finally, I have freed myself from that trap that the foul sorcerer had thought to keep me prisioner! He may have sent me upon that cursed flying conveyance, but with my release from there, I have become able to find my way to return to the nation of my birth so that I may be able to punish him for this transgression!
"But before I do so, I have a task upon which I must complete! For I am certain that the fair and tidy Akane Tendo is here on this acursed isle. No doubt that she is in some sort of danger, waiting for the moment at which I will rescue her!"
Growling low in her throat, Akane looked at the deluded (and chocolate covered) kendoist, and decided to:
