Parents And Children - Wild Dragons: Two Clouds Of Heaven [Episode 57620]

by Kender

Sitting in her room, Nabiki Tendo was very quiet. It had been a trying time recently, and she had been deep in thought for much of it. While she had known that things would be bad, she had never known that it could get quite this... terrible. To have those two killed like that... While she might have enjoyed playing around with Ranma, she had actually liked the dumb jock, and never wanted something like that to happen to her.

She had no doubts as to at least one person who was involved: her own dear sister, Akane. The youngest Tendo had made no secret of how angry she had been when Ranma had gone and chosen Herb over everyone else. Oh, Akane had put it down to disgust and irritation, but her sister knew better. No one could be so focused on what was going on with the pigtailed girl and repeatedly purport disintrest in the whole thing. Add in those odd disappearances, secretive actions and conversations with the other former fiancees, and that said that something was definately up.

And if she had been able to do something like that, then she who knew whatelse she might do, even to her family.

Still, Nabiki was a realist. She had little real evidence of what she was certain that Akane had done. Accusing Akane would do little and put her in the line of fire. These girls were in a bad situation and had little to lose, and so it would be foolhardy to try and do anything. She hadn't really trained in a long time, and she had little doubt as to the fact that her exercises in her room would do little to help her in any sort of real attack.

Even her vaunted 'network' wasn't as useful as one might think. Finding out a classmate's secrets wasn't as hard as finding evidence of a murder. But she knew that she had to do something, even if it were only for her peace of mind.

The question was what.

Kasumi sat in her kitchen with a cup of tea in her hand, but not much had been drunk from it. She had hoped to use it to relax, but with what had happened, she was having trouble even attempting to drink it. Her thoughts just kept on coming back to what had happened.

There hadn't been any sort of romantic emotion between her and Ranma, at least as far as she knew. But she had come to see the young man as a younger brother, and then as a younger sister with the locking of the curse. Ranma had become someone to care for, and was a part of the family to her, and she had taught the neophyte girl all that was neccessary to be a girl, from clothing to hygene and beyond.

Then had come the pigtailed girl's decision to marry the Musk Prince, and all that had come with it. She had so wanted to be involved in it, to help Ranma on her big day like she would for her other sisters, so that it could be a memory that she could cherish. Yet, family honor and duty had dictated that she distance herself from the person who would break the promise between their families. That had left her torn, with no way to settle it properly.

And now Ranma was gone, and her husband with her. Any chance of being even just friends was gone with the young woman that she had considered a sister. She just couldn't understand how someone could do such a thing. All that life and energy, gone like a candle being doused.

That left her berift, and saddened while:
