Smiling, Nodoka responded, "That's nice dear," and she walked quietly into the kitchen to find Kasumi busy with breakfast.
Still wearing the same grin, Nodoka again greeted one of the Tendo daughters, "Good morning daughter in law!"
"Kami," Nodoka thought, "teasing them sure does get odd responces. Maybe my son isn't manly enough?"
Kasumi's respnonce was not at all what Nodoka had expected, however. Did the young lady just drop a spoon? Why are her eyes opened so wide?
Kasumi was in shock. She knew that news travelled fast, but this? How could Nodoka already know? What about her poor little sister? Wasn't it bad enough that she had already shamed herself? "Oh," Kasumi said in barely more than a whisper, "where are my manners mother? We must make the plans to make everything official." Kasumi kept her head lowered, as she felt fear that maybe her soon to be mother in law would be displeased with what she and Ranma had done.
Nodoka big-sweated. Did Kasumi just look guilty? Ashamed? "Dear," she said, "whats the matter?"
Kasumi, in a very un-Kasumi like mannor, stuttered, "I didn't mean to sleep with Ranma. It was an accident. Please don't be displeased with me, mother?" Kasumi was so consumed with guilt, she never noticed the pride literately beaming from the older woman.
Grabbing Kasumi in a Shampoo-ish hug, Nodoka began cheering, "My son is SO MANLY! You'll be a wonderful mother for my grandchildren!"
"Yo, what's... Mom? What'cha doin' to Kasumi?" Ranma asked as he entered the kitchen...
