As per standard procedure, whenever a new owner purchased, had created, or was given a new 'pet' the staff made sure that the owner was more than capable of handling said pet(s). It would not do to leave a pet in the hands of someone who was less than responsible or incapable of caring for them. Think of what the SPCA would say.
Therefore, when they looked at Ranma, they were appalled by what they saw.
Physically, he had not only brain damage, but also damage as a result of malnutrition (from the training trip) as well as from old battle wounds. All of that was easily fixed. His mental health, however, was a different story.
Between the nekoken, his inexperience with women, and his almost nonexistent social skills, his mental landscape was a frightening picture. It was determined that an intense regimen of hypnotherapy would solve these problems. It would take a few hours longer than what was usual (it was always tricky to put the changes in without altering the owner's basic personality too much) but what was a few hours if this could improve the quality of life his pets would now have.
When all this was completed, as well as a mental upload of How To Care For Your New Sexpet For Dummies the staff also decided that with the amount of chaos and physical confrontations in his life, it would also be prudent to give this young man one of their new owner 'upgrade' packages.
Therefore, when Ranma became fully aware, he found that this package consisted of...
