"Hooray! Saotome, we've done it!" Soun declared. "The clans are united!"
"Yes, Tendo!" Genma declared. "Now all we have to do is get a minister and they can be married!"
"Uh, that's not possible," the Clerk said. "They're pets now, not humans. They can't marry their owner."
"Nonsense!" Soun said, waving that aside. "It is an old family agreement, Saotome's son would have to marry one of my daughters to produce an heir."
"The producing an heir thing is no problem," the Clerk said. "If you don't mind the heir being an animal-person. Most of our pets pure-breed with humans...but their offspring do have human mentality...causes a problem at times."
"So, you see, no problem," Genma said. "We just find a minister..."
"They can't get married I told you!" the Clerk gasped, exasperatedly.
"But they can have children," Soun said, hesitantly.
"When commanded..." the Clerk started.
"Then finally we can unite the clans between my daughters and your son, Saotome!" Soun declared.
"YOU DON'T HAVE DAUGHTERS ANYMORE!!" the Clerk shouted.
"Sure I do, three of them," Soun said. "You made them into pets."
"Right, so they're not your daughters anymore," the Clerk said, tired.
"Let me ask the girl's spirits." The Clerk entered a sort of trance...
"Strong willed girls you have there."
"Yes, but."
"Can we change Ranma to? It'd be nice to have obediant children"
"NO HE'S AN OWNER!!"
