As he sat in his office reading through the most peculiar book he had found, an idea began to creep into the good Doctor's mind. When it came right down to it, the local inhabitants of Nerima, affectionately known as the Wrecking Crew, were really not a bad bunch of people. Just a little mixed up, and not necessarily prone to expressing themselves in the most diplomatic of ways. He had done his best to try and sort things out before giving up and staying out of harm's way.
Perhaps, he thought, I should try again. After all, the last time he'd attempted to interfere in the "normal" course of Nerima life he hadn't had this rather interesting little book. Combined with his knowledge of acupressure and martial arts, he might just stand a chance...
The more he thought about it, the more excited he got. He could help Ranma and Akane figure out that they actually liked each other. He could see to it that all the people who actually liked each other but didn't want to admit it would finally get a clue and come to their senses. And after sorting out all of the messes, he and Kasumi could... uhmm.... err...
Tofu giggled nervously, then got up and cleaned the steam off his glasses. Yes, he decided, this plan would work for sure! But where to begin, he wondered? The most obvious solution was to try and resolve some of Ranma's fiancee problems, and to deal with some of the poor lad's obstacles in life.
Time to play matchmaker.
He cleared off a table, got a big piece of paper, and started trying to work out who really liked who but didn't want to admit it. After awhile, he thought he'd arrived at a reasonable approximation of who really liked who in Nerima. Now then, he mused, where would be a good place to start...?
