"Yosho-sama!!! Togashi Yokuni-sama wants to meet your new-born son!"
"What? Togahsi Yokuni-sama wants to see my son NOW?!" Yosho asked in surprise.
"Hai, Yosho-sama, Yukuni-sama says that it is very important," the guard said.
"Very well then," Yosho said then took his son from his slumbering wife, "We'll be back soon, Itsuki." He kissed his wife on the forehead before departing towards Togashi Yokuni's chambers.
Upon entering his lord's private chambers, he saw Yokuni motioning him to sit on one of the cushions as he ordered his guards to leave the room. "Greetings, Yokuni-sama. I have come as you have desired," Yosho said, bowing at the imposing figure on the throne.
"It concerns about the future of your son." Yosho heard the Great Dragon's voice but he did not see his mouth move.
"What about my son, Yokuni-sama?" Yosho asked Yokuni. "Your son, Iori, has a great destiny in store for him. His path will be paved with blood, death, destruction, and corpses of his friends and enemies." Yosho's eyes widened at what Yokuni said.
"Such hardships will fall upon my son." Yosho said sadly. "That may be so, but those hardships will help him in fulfilling of his destiny." Seeing the questioning look on Yosho's face, Yokuni answered, "To defeat Fu Leng."
Many Years Later.................
As Iori watched his little brother complete his 'passage into manhood' trial, he remembered the day of his coming of age ceremony in which he remembered his past life and experiences.
His skills with the sword and fists were unrivaled except for Ak... Toturi and the late Bayushi Shojou. With his skills in both the blade and the art, the armies of the Dragon Clan were feared throughout Rokugan with their strength rivaling that of the mighty Lion Clan.
He was shaken out of his thoughts when he saw his sister, Mirumoto Hitomi, walking towards them. Ever since their older brother died, Hitomi had forever lost her innocence and became a warrior. It reminded Iori of the soul of ice but at a more advanced level.
