The stars twinkled on the night sky oblivious of their observer. Sitting on a boulder, Saotome Genma contemplated the unchanging nature of the stars. They have been the same the day he left on the training trip, and they were the same now, almost ten years later. But, Genma had changed. He gained more padding around his waist, and his ass begun to droop a bit. Genma was proud of his ass. According to Nodoka it was his best feature. Why, how many times had she playfully grabbed it? Or told him to take out his head out of his ass.
Not only Genma has changed. Ranma has grown too. He is not whining like a girl anymore and he doesn't get beaten up as much. And he eats more too, remembered Genma with a frown and a glare towards the tent behind him. However, he had no doubt Nodoka would be thrilled with the man among men that her son has become. Genma has instilled into Ranma the same manly values he himself honoured. Genma was sure Ranma was the mirror image of the mighty manliness of his father!
And so, still sitting on a boulder, his hand poised at his knee, supporting his head, Genma continued to stare at the stars as if they could give him the answer to his troubles... where to go now?
