"I was... merely passing through," Kiima said tightly as the other woman stared at her, "And I stopped to see if I could get some help for a moment."

"What sort of 'help'?" Nabiki asked.

"Only some directions, if you must know. And now if you will excuse me, I really must be going. If you'll excuse me..," the former Phoenix warrior told her as she tried to step around her.

Putting an arm out in her path to stop her, the middle Tendo daughter smirked. "I don't think so."

"What?"

"You are not one to simply drop by in any way shape or form."

"And we have such a wonderful relationship that I would seek you out for a simple visit?"

"No... You would seek me out to make certain that I, or anyone else I know wasn't around to screw with your vacation, mission or whatever."

"How do you know that I haven't?"

Giving a little laugh, Nabiki shrugged. "Let's just say that I'm observant. More so than you might think."

"That is nice for you," Kiima bit out, "But I really must be going."

"What's the rush? Don't you have time for an old friend?"

"When were we 'friends'?"

"Okay, 'aquaintances'. Still, we haven't seen each other at all over the years, besides in pictures, and I was wondering if we could catch up on what we have been doing."

For a moment, Kiima feared that Nabiki had seen the article of the festival, but quickly gained a hold on herself. "You would wish to... 'pass the breeze' as it were?"

"You might say that, and it's been years since we've seen each other, so I'd say that we have plenty to talk about."

Trying to keep her cool, Tarou's wife frowned while:
