Ranma's Wish: Time passes [Reckoning for "fiancees"] (DARK) [Episode 60553]

by nuclear death frog

It was, relatively speaking, the fastest eighty years in the history of history. To all those present but one, it had simply been their portion of eighty years. To the one exception, it had been an instant.

Ranma's disappearance led to *interesting* events.

Among the better off after the wish was Shampoo. Having never consummated her "marriage", the matriarch's council was not lenient in its actions. Shampoo was stripped of her title, status, and family, and exiled from Joketsuzoku lands forever. But they could not take away her fighting skills, which she had earned in blood. She entered illegal pit tournaments, and quickly gained enough funds to support herself indefinitely. She lasted five years, unbeaten and virtually unchallenged; and retired forever from that circuit around the time of her 22nd birthday. At the age of 27 she married one of the few male fighters she'd ever come to respect. After nearly 70 years of marriage, she died in her sleep just past her 96th birthday. She had mothered 9 children, six of them girls. Her eldest child had been male, and as a tribute to the first man she'd ever loved, she named him Ranma.

"The more things change, the more they stay the same". An English phrase that Ukyou Kuonji, later simply Ukyou, and later by other names entirely, had known. Ranma's disappearance had heralded the end of her life. When her father heard the news of Ranma's disappearance, he'd been furious and made her a ronin. That had been the last mistake of his life. Forced to flee Japan, the girl made the choice to permanently forsake her entire feminine existence. Finding Instant Nannichuan powder had been easy enough. Contacting the Musk prince Herb and getting his permission to use the Chiisuton had been much harder, but the dragon prince had relented when he learned of the former Kuonji (and former girl)'s acquaintance with the vanished "Wild Horse". With the permanent switch to manhood from womanhood, brown hair and eyes had become black, and the hair had been cut short. Battle spatula had been traded for a weighted staff; throwing spatulas became throwing daggers; and yakisoba noodle ropes had become a whip. When she died almost eighty years later, "he" had been father of nine children; but never had "he" told his wife of his true origins -- or of their shared past.

Kodachi Kuno was most distraught over Ranma's vanishing. When she later realized the truth about Ranma's curse, she entered a life of public service. Or rather, she spent the remainder of her life serving the public. She had done this by murdering her father and brother, and then committing seppuku without a second, as atonement for their shared idiocy.

So, really, in the end she had done the most for the common good. **twisted grin**
